Roe vs. Wade Statement

As an organization dedicated to supporting gender minorities and gender equity priorities in higher education, GAIN supports fundamental reproductive rights for all people with the capacity for pregnancy. This includes the right for women, trans people, non-binary, and other gender minorities’ to control their own bodies.

The SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe v. Wade is an assault on human rights and on our democracy. This ruling reverses 50 years of constitutional support and disproportionately impacts the most marginalized communities across the nation. We are deeply disappointed and outraged that we have been failed by the system once more, but this only fuels our fight for justice.

We commit to continue taking action by providing uplifting spaces for our membership to convene, exploring collaborations, and avenues of support with the community to widen our network of resources and strengthen our allyship.
