Kason Carte
Kason Carté (he/him) is a sociology graduate student at UO, specializing in gender and sexuality studies while serving students as a grader, discussion leader, and educational resource. His interest in psychology and sociology was first sparked while living as an openly transgender and queer man in Lewiston, Idaho, where he resided until earning his bachelor's degree in psychology from Lewis-Clark State College. Kason's current research explores how gender identity and expression can influence the way people navigate safety across social situations.
