Conference Sessions

Gender Inclusion through OER

This session will discuss the implementation of an open educational resource (OER) textbook in Beginning Spanish courses at PSU, and specifically how the textbook itself is designed for inclusion. The session will also give examples of how the pedagogical approach addresses challenges surrounding incorporating gender inclusion while teaching a binary gendered language. If the session has enough time, I would like participants to have opportunities to reflect on challenges and possible solutions in their own fields.
