Integration of Feminist Pedagogy in Academic Advising

This session will explore what the implementation of a feminist pedagogy might look like in an academic advising setting. From specific pedagogical standpoints to environmental and cultural changes, what could be the potential impact of implementing a feminist lens to academic advising and how would this be accomplished? Through research related to the use of feminist pedagogy in other helping professions, this session aims to incite conversation about what a feminist academic advising practice could look like and the impacts it may have.
