2024 GAIN Conference Program Proposals

General Education & GAIN Speaks! Submissions are...
 πŸŽŠ OPEN! 🎊

The Gender Advocacy and Inclusion Network (GAIN) in Higher Education is hosting our annual conference in beautiful Seaside, Oregon, April 22-24, 2024.

Our theme this year is β€œThe Stories that Shape Us”

Delve into the rich tapestry of narratives that influence our identities, experiences, and perspectives as higher education professionals. Through engaging discussions, an impactful keynote, and thought-provoking presentations, we'll explore the profound impact of storytelling on gender advocacy and identity formation. Join us in celebrating the diverse voices and experiences contributing to our collective journey toward a more inclusive and equitable future. Your story matters – be part of the narrative with the 2024 GAIN conference by sharing your knowledge with the GAIN community.

Kate Birney, Co-Director of Education, will support presenters to ensure that their content aligns with intended outcomes and goals. If we find that your proposed session needs additional support, please anticipate collaborating directly with GAIN to meet conference presentation guidelines.

Our goal is to have a diverse set of programs that do the following:

  • Align with our mission, vision, values, and commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

  • Provide tangible takeaways for the GAIN membership and conference attendees

  • Focus on skill-building, practical tools, and/or best practices

  • Engage participants in various learning methods and styles

General Ed & GAIN Speaks! proposals must be submitted by December 1, 2023 at 11:59 PM.

If you have any questions about the submission form or process, please email education@gainhighered.org

This is just the beginning of our journey together.

To keep your enthusiasm alive and your curiosity ignited, the chapters that lie ahead continue to promise even greater strides toward coming together and sharing our stories.

We will be sharing more in our newsletters, where we will continue to build upon the momentum generated here. Shaping narratives, amplifying voices, and sculpting a more vibrant and harmonious world.
